A scream rent through the air of the mostly quiet mall, it was definitely the sound of a girl, well mostly human anyways. Katten had been searching for food with her brothers when they had been attacked, but not just from the zombies scattered about, those were fairly easy to contain. But when the massive skyline crashed in, all hell broke loose when a pair of the 'Angel' experiments attacked. Bullets burned through the air, managing to wound one before the other picked up one of the men and knocked him off the third floor of the mall. Since their strength wasn't all that great they had to use skill to kill their prey. Katten, being small was the optimum target. Cringing as more banshee screams rent her sensitive ears allowed one of them to tackle her onto the ground.

It a last ditch effort to save herself in a moment of terror, she balled her fist and slugged the creature a good one on the side of its face. It shrieked again, causing Katten to clench her teeth against the sound, already one of her feline ears were bleeding from a ruptured eardrum. She didn't see her brothers who were fighting off the Flock, one dead or near dying on the first floor while the others where trying to fend off the experiments while trying to get to Katten. She let loose another scream, this one in pain as the sharp talons of the Angel on top of her sunk its talons in her right shoulder. Finally she thrashed in blind pain and fear beneath the creature, shouting at it in full force of her strength.

"Get the off me, you winged FREAK!"

The Angel experiment blinked in surprise for a moment before its eyes hazed over, it surged away from her, feeling the force of her own power. Tears spilled from the corner of her blue eyes as she struggled to stand up, She was dazed from shock and pain as she held her arm. Blood oozed from between her fingers as she watched the last of her brothers fall under the onslaught of three angels. She stumbled back with bleary eyes, he made up family was gone again and this time she felt guilt. She was too stunned to do anything about the undead making their way to investigate the noise, but the angels didn't seem to partial to share as they swatted and shoved them away from their kills.

After leaving the hospital, an eighteen year old male walked into the vast expanse of the mall. Clad in a white suit stained with blood, he kept a saber in his right hand with a sheath hanging from his left side. With a magnum inside his suit jacket and a copy of his mentor's notes on zombies, the male looked through his jet black hair with a pair of icy blue eyes to scan the mall.

Originally hoping to find somewhere to acquire, more likely scavenge, a few goods Icy looked around for a moment before widening his eyes. Sheathing his blade he ran to the girl bleeding. Looking around for a moment he saw a few "Angels" flying away. Hissing under his breath, he looks to the girl next to him with odd cat-like ears. He would have assumed her to be a zombie if she wasn't attacked. According to Professor Brooks' notes, those undead meat sacks had a pack mentality for the most part. Of course there were exceptions to every rule, which is why Blaze stayed ready to attack if he ended up being wrong.

"Miss? Are you alright?"
